This is one of my favorite UFO encounter stories.
An LDS hydroelectric engineer sees a craft which landed near a mining claim he was working during his days off from his day job as an engineer. The craft’s occupants looked like normal human beings. They said they didn’t realize he was there and were just there to refill on water. He asked why they didn’t refill at the lake. They said there was too much algae etc. and that this water was better. He said they spoke perfect english although a little slower than normal like it wasn’t their primary language.
He says they told him they were here to monitor humanity’s progress. They said they were from a different star system. They said they sometimes live among us. They allowed him to see the inside of their craft. They offered to allow him to come with them. He declined because he didn’t want to leave all of his family and friends behind. They told him not to tell anyone about them at least not for many years.
